Eight-year-old Becky from Arlington, Virginia loves what many other eight-year-old girls enjoy: American Girl® Dolls. When Becky was diagnosed with leukemia, her life was not like other eight-year-olds anymore. It was filled with hospital visits, needles and treatments. She and her parents, along with her sisters, longed for some fun together. When Becky found out she was eligible for a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Mid-Atlantic, she knew she wanted to go to the greatest American Girl® store in New York City. Becky and her family got the NYC treatment with a limo ride from their house all the way to the doorstep of the American Girl® store. Becky’s special day got even better when a personal shopper greeted them at the store. They spent hours picking out dresses and hair ribbons for their dolls, and even selected a doll camper for their adventures. Becky and her doll had their hair done and even picked out dresses for herself to match her doll. This was surely a wish come true for Becky!
