Many partnership opportunities are available for corporations looking to make a strong impact in the community. We work closely with our corporate partners to ensure that their goals, interests and obtainable levels of engagement are met while furthering our mission. There are many ways corporations can get involved to help make wishes come true:

ANNUAL CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
Without the generous support of our annual Corporate Partners and donors, we simply could not fulfill our mission to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The average cost of granting each wish is $7,500 in our region. Funds raised via this annual partnership program are critical support for our program and operations. In return, we offer unique and compelling recognition opportunities all year round.

EVENT SPONSORSHIP
Make-A-Wish® events provide high visibility for corporate supporters. Make-A-Wish® Mid-Atlantic hosts several signature events each year. Sponsorship categories and benefits vary with each event, however, all provide optimal recognition opportunities as well as tickets for employees, customers and other VIPs.

In addition to the signature events outlined above, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic offers a host of activities in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia throughout the year.

CO-BRANDED MARKETING INITIATIVES
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is one of the country’s top five most recognized, trusted and valued brands. Co-branded promotions with the Foundation have proven a successful marketing tool for our business partners as 80% of Americans are likely to switch brands or retailers to one associated with a good cause (2010 CONE Cause Evolution Study).  National partners such as Macy’s, Discover Financial Services, Toys ‘R Us and more work with us in this capacity, as well as local companies such as Baltimore Coffee and Tea Company, Quinn’s Goldsmiths and many others.

EMPLOYEE GIVING AND ACTIVATION

A company’s community involvement has a direct impact on its ability to attract and retain top employees. Corporate philanthropy is tied to employee morale, retention, motivation, and even leadership skills development. There are many ways to involve your employees in your Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. The Make-A-Wish Foundation can support you every step of the way, from getting your company’s program off the ground to demonstrating the impact your employees make on the local community each year.

MATCHING EMPLOYEE GIFTS
More than 80% of employees expressed interest in getting involved in their company’s matching gifts program according to the 2010 CONE Cause Evolution Study. A matching gifts program alerts you to the causes that are important to your employees and enables you to double the recognition received and the impact of your investment.

MISSION CRITICAL GOODS AND SERVICES
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic has been granting wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions since 1983. To date, we have granted nearly 7,000 wishes, ranging from trips to Italy, to swimming with dolphins to becoming a superhero. These wishes would not be possible without the generous support of companies and business who donate goods and services. More than half of the wishes that we grant each year involve air travel. Donating frequent flier miles is a great way for companies to help make wishes come true. Other mission-critical in-kind donations include limousine service, hotel loyalty points, building supplies and products, gift cards, electronics and much more.

HOLIDAY CARDS
Share the power of a wish® with your employees, vendors, customers and other stakeholders by sending Make-A-Wish custom holiday cards each year.
