Eighteen-year-old Teneisha from Owings Mills, MD, enjoys listening to artists such as Beyoncé and Rihanna, hanging out with her friends, going shopping at her favorite stores and watching Netflix. One of her absolute favorite things, however, is fashion. She is always reading up on the latest trends and making them her own. When diagnosed with bone cancer in 2015, it became more difficult for Teneisha to participate in some of her favorite hobbies. Throughout treatment, however, Teneisha never lost her passion for fashion. When she learned Make-A-Wish®
Mid-Atlantic would be granting her one true wish, she was overjoyed and immediately wished to go to the home of incredible fashion in Paris, France.
Teneisha and her family enjoyed a week of fun exploring the beautiful city of Paris. There, Teneisha had the chance to go on a bus tour around the city and visit the amazing museums. Along with the bus tour, Teneisha had the opportunity to see the Eiffel Tower three times, which she had been especially looking forward to. She even got to see the famous Mona Lisa in person!
Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic made Teneisha’s wish a reality and gave her an unforgettable experience. “I will never forget Make-A-Wish,” Teneisha shared. “You have been so great to me and my family.” Wishes like Teneisha’s give children with life-threatening medical conditions something positive to look forward to and hold onto throughout a difficult time in their lives.
