Vivian from Annandale, VA, is an enthusiastic 10-year-old girl. She loves the color purple, singing along to pop songs and swinging from the monkey bars on the playground. Unfortunately, unlike most girls her age, Vivian is bravely battling leukemia. Although her disease slowed down her active lifestyle, she remains outgoing, intelligent, sweet, creative and fun. When Vivian found out Make-A-Wish®
Mid-Atlantic would be granting her one true wish, she wished to go on a Disney Cruise Line® cruise with her family!
Vivian was very excited by the opportunity to go on a cruise with her family. She had been on a Disney Cruise when she was younger and she wanted to share the joy it brought her with her two younger sisters. Vivian’s wish trip was even more than she had imagined. Not only was the weather perfect, but Vivian and her sisters also got to enjoy activities at the Kids’ Club, including a cooking class. Vivian even got to meet her two favorite Disney princesses – Elsa and Anna from Frozen
Vivian’s family had such a great experience during Vivian’s wish that they were the last ones to get off the ship at the end of the cruise because they didn’t want to leave! Granting wishes like Vivian’s gives children with life-threatening medical conditions as well as their families something to look forward to when they need it most.
