Four-year-old Elliott from Washington, DC, enjoys spending time with his family and listening to music. Since Elliott suffers from a rare genetic disorder, he does not get to enjoy these activities as often as he would like. Although Elliott has limited mobility, he finds joy in playing with sensory toys, so when he found out Make-A-Wish®
Mid-Atlantic would be grating his one true wish, he wished to have a sensory playroom!
Elliott was thrilled to receive his wish. He was so excited to use his new room to learn different sights, sounds, smells and textures. Elliott’s favorite part of his sensory playroom was the colored string lights. He also enjoyed using switches to turn on music and watch his sister dance. Elliott’s family said he loves his playroom and toys so much that he uses them every day! They share that he will truly benefit from his wish for the rest of his life.
Elliott’s wish gave him a special and unique way to enjoy spending his time both at home with family and during hospital visits. His grandma was especially thankful and shared, “Gifting him the fabulous features for his multi-sensory room will clearly be making his greatest wishes come true.” Granting wishes like Elliott’s gives children with life-threatening medical conditions hope, strength and joy when they need it most.
