Jessica, a teenager from Silver Spring, missed her Quinceanera because she was in the hospital due to her ongoing struggle with a congenital developmental disorder.
She never got an opportunity to take formal pictures to remember one of the most significant occasions in her life. Jessica's one true wish to recreate this momentous occasion was granted.
Jessica loves fashion, make-up and the color pink. One of her biggest hobbies is cosmetology, so she could not have been more excited when she was picked up in a limo and brought to a salon for her day of beauty. Blue Bunny, Jessica's favorite ice cream brand, surprised her by decorating the salon and presenting her with a box of ice cream goodies. Then Jessica got the star treatment as professionals styled her hair, painted her nails and did her make-up.
Flaunting a bright pink gown, Jessica was brought to downtown Alexandria to take photographs. A crowd gathered around to tell her how beautiful she looked. As her tiara sparkled, so did her smile. She kept laughing and smiling even when she was getting tired.
Her mother shared that she always knew Jessica was doing fine when she would ask for her make-up bag following a treatment. Jessica now has new cosmetics to reach for in her bag, compliments of the salon, and a rejuvenated passion for cosmetology! She is very proud of the dazzling photos that will decorate her home and act as reminders of this joyous day forever.
