Ten-year-old Leo of Gaithersburg, MD is diagnosed with a neurological disorder. Because of his medical condition, Leo communicates differently from some other kids his age and faces a unique set of challenges in his day-to-day life. Despite all of this, Leo is an extroverted child who loves to have fun and hang out with his friends and family. When Leo learned that Make-A-Wish®
Mid-Atlantic would be granting his one true wish, Leo wished to have a Halloween-themed birthday party so that he could celebrate his special day surrounded by the people he loves.
Leo and his twin brother Seamus were thrilled to pick out costumes for Leo’s big wish day. They decided to dress us as their favorite animals – a lion and an elephant! Leo had a great time admiring all of his friend’s costumes and he enjoyed looking at all of the colorful balloons and decorations.
Leo’s wish day was filled with joy – bringing him a renewed sense of strength and hope when he needed it most.
