Five-year-old Walter from Fairfax, VA, is a fun-loving ball of energy. As the fourth of five children, Walter always has someone to play with and can often be found building with Legos, looking for frogs and bugs outside, or playing with toy cars. Walter’s favorite activity, however, is watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on television. He loves most superheroes, but the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are definitely his favorites! Walter bravely battles a congenital musculoskeletal disorder and when he found out that he would be receiving a wish from Make-A-Wish
® Mid-Atlantic, he wished to meet the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at Walt Disney World® Resort!
When the time for Walter’s wish trip arrived, he couldn’t wait to meet his four favorite characters! Walter loves watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ ninja skills on TV and was looking forward to checking them out in person. Walter’s trip to Walt Disney World Resort was even more than he had hoped for – not only did he have a VIP meet-and-greet with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but he also got to enjoy all that the theme parks have to offer with his siblings.
Walter’s wish trip gave him a wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime experience with his favorite superheroes and gave him a break from focusing on his medical condition. By granting wishes like Walter’s, Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic provides hope in the lives of children battling life-threatening illnesses when they need it most.
