Brock from Washington, DC, has a big personality. When Brock was diagnosed with cancer, he did not allow this to affect his love of learning and exploration. Some of Brock’s favorite things are going to the museums in DC and watching sports such as baseball and basketball on TV. Brock’s favorite hobby of all, however, is watching the television show Little Einsteins
. Through his favorite TV show, Brock learned all about the different countries of the world. When he found out that Make-A-Wish®
Mid-Atlantic would be granting his one true wish, Brock wished to go to Egypt.
Brock couldn’t wait to go to Egypt to see the things he had been learning about up close and in person. He was most excited to see the pyramids and ride a camel! Brock was treated like a VIP from the moment he arrived in Egypt until his departure. He not only enjoyed seeing the pyramids and riding a camel, but he also got to explore the desert, relax by the pool and experience a cruise along the Nile River.
Brock’s wish gave him something to fight for when he was in the midst of seemingly endless chemotherapy treatments and doctor appointments. Granting wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions provide family memories that last a lifetime.
