Seventeen-year-old Michael from Westminster, MD, is sweet, kind and humble. He is very active, and has enjoyed playing lacrosse, football and wrestling since the age of five. Although Michael has taken a hiatus from his favorite sports since being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, he is hopeful that he will get back into the activities in the future. Michael is not one to typically ask for much, so when he found out that he would be receiving a wish from Make-A-Wish®
Mid-Atlantic, he was excited by the opportunity. Michael immediately knew that his wish was to have his very own all-terrain vehicle!
Michael had been dreaming of owning an ATV for the past few years, so he was ecstatic when he finally received one! He couldn’t wait to drive the ATV all around his family’s property. Upon receiving his ATV, Michael and his family enjoyed a party where Michael was able to test out his new vehicle’s capabilities and he couldn’t have been happier.
Michael’s wish allowed him to have a day that focused on fun after he had stopped playing many sports he loved due to his illness. Granting wishes like Michael’s inspires local children with life-threatening medical conditions and provides something to look forward to when they need it most.
