BETHESDA, MD (January 7, 2013) – The Board of Directors of Make-A-Wish® Mid-Atlantic is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Caldwell as president and CEO. Caldwell brings significant nonprofit experience and fundraising leadership to the chapter, along with passion and enthusiasm for the mission of Make-A-Wish. In this role, Laura will lead the fundraising and wish granting activities for the Mid-Atlantic chapter, serving Maryland, Delaware, District of Columbia and Northern Virginia.
Prior to joining Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic, Caldwell spent more than 20 years with various national health charities, including The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, The American Liver Foundation, and the March of Dimes, growing from fundraising roles to executive director leadership. Caldwell studied Business Management at the University of Memphis. “I am so thrilled and honored to be joining the Mid-Atlantic team of volunteers, donors and staff. We are going to work together to ensure that we grant magical wishes, fulfilling the mission of our amazing organization,” stated Caldwell.
