Volunteering is a great way to help. With a small staff and so many local children eligible for wishes, accomplishing our mission is only possible with the support of our wonderful volunteers.

We have many opportunities, whether you can give a few hours each month or a few days each year. Our volunteers range in age from 18 to 90. You can help make the wishes of children in your local community come true when you become a volunteer for Make-A-Wish® Mid-Atlantic. We invite you to share the power of a wish ®! It will have a powerful impact on you.

  • #WishesMatterWednesday A great, big thank you to our friends at the Washington Capitals for all of their efforts on this year’s #HockeyFightsCancer. Last weekend, they welcomed our wish kids to a game and an open skate with players. For each of these little cancer fighters, it was an exciting opportunity to see an outpouring of support from the community, the team and every individual player. Through their Hockey Fights Cancer Auction, the Caps also raised over $116,000 to be split between Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and Flashes of Hope. #CapsFightCancer
